Lefty Grove Baseball League
The Lefty Grove Baseball League is a Non-profit organization, run by a volunteer Board of Directors.
We are able to operate via Community Donations and Grants. Without our generous community and grants we apply for yearly we would not be able to provide the youth of our community with the opportunity to play baseball and improve their skills.
With this being said the board would like to thank all Donor's and Grant providers for being able to offer this service since 1956. A special shout out to the VFW Post 2743 for not only supporting us year in and year out with donations, but also providing the fields we use and maintain.
To the board, the unselfish donation of their time does not begin and end with the season. We physically meet a minimum of once-a-month, year around. We communicate frequently, in some cases daily, and during the season it is multiple times a day.
It may come as a surprise, but we have multiple board members that do not have kids in the league. In some cases, their children have aged out of the league, in other cases the board member is just that passionate about providing this service to our youth.
As Commissioner I would also like to thank them all for their hard work and dedication. We "employ" multiple people, (mostly youth) to assist during the season. From our Scorekeepers, Umpires (Certified and Uncertified), Field Liners, ETC. allowing them to make a bit of money, while providing them some community involvement.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with the season, so if you have some free time and would like to assist, we would love to have you!! Just reach out to
[email protected] and let us know!
Thank you!!
